My Story
Hi, I'm Karisa. I'm so glad you're here ready to explore what breathwork can do for you!
My work is rooted in the connection we have with ourselves and what we can control. I spent much of my early years training and moving my body at a high level. Because of that, I found yoga as a way to stay emotionally grounded through movement. As I entered my early 20’s and became a mother, my practice deepened and became a way for me to reconnect with myself and regulate stress. After a period of uncertainty around my health, and following the advice of a good friend, I completed a 200hr yoga teacher training to aid in my healing and learn more about the practice that had been a big part of my life for almost 15 years. That sparked a curiosity that led me into a deeper study of both the spiritual roots and the physiological science behind breathwork. Through those studies, I refined my own breathwork practice and went on to earn certifications across multiple modalities. I'm drawn to approaches that honor the nervous system, support emotional healing, and empower people to work with their bodies. At the heart of my work is a simple belief that caring for yourself doesn't have to be complicated or external. I believe that what we need for regulation, healing, rest, and clarity already exists within us.
